We have our son

  Yes, we are officially the proud parents of Bryant Alexander Rogers. Today, on Thanksgiving, the court ruled in our favor and named us his official parents. This Thanksgiving, we give thanks for our new son who we promise to love, nurture and give the life he deserves.

  We arrived in Moscow today at 11am to be greeted by Max and Vlad from our agency. They informed us that court was at 4pm. We thought it was on Friday so a little bit of panic set in. We had not slept on the plane. By the time we headed to court we had been awake for 24 hours. Thank goodness our adrenaline kicked in and got us through. The judge was very nice along with the orphanage director who spoke very highly of us and was completely in our favor. It was nerve wracking to answer all of the questions asked but we did pretty well all things considered. We think the judge really liked us and actually said a few jokes. After we answered all of the judge's questions she went back in the chamber to make her decision. It was only a few minutes but seemed like forever. She came back in and announced us as the parents of Bryant. Just hearing her say his name, I could not contain myself. The tears of joy started rolling and they would not stop. It was an overwhelming feeling of joy and thankfulness that I can't describe in words. I wish I could bottle that feeling.

  Tomorrow we go to visit our son. Just saying it sounds so good. Happy Thanksgiving from Moscow.
