Spending the day with our son

Yesterday we spent the day at the orphanage with Bryant. As we saw him come down the hall I can ony imagine he was thinking "those crazy people are back again." Little does he know those crazy people are taking him home soon. He had just gotten up from his morning nap when we arrived. His caretaker, Nina, brought him in to us and he gave us the who are you look. After a few minutes he warmed up and started smiling and being his happy self. He was wearing a red and black sweater and jean overalls with a pink bunny on them. Even though he had girls overalls on he looked so cute. His face has filled out a little more and they gave him a haircut. His hair has a little curl it it and last time we thought it looked a little like Kramer from Seinfeld.  He looked healthier than he did the last trip and we were very happy about that. Also, I can't post pictures of his cute face until after our 10 day waiting period so sit tight you will see them soon.

We put him on the floor and he crawled up to this musical train toy and he pushed the button. It started singing and he began moving his head back and forth to the beat of the music. It was so funny. He knew he was being cute and we were laughing at him. This is a new trick, we never saw him do this last trip. He was much more verbal yesterday than a month ago. He was baby talking and copying my sounds. He was saying dada and Jeff was thrilled. He has also learned to clap at himself or when he likes something. It is adorable and he loves the attention he gets when he does it.

When it was time for him to nap we went to the local mall to eat and find an electrical adapter for my camera battery. No luck with the adapter so I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked but we took video. When we arrived back at the orphanage Nina had Bryant in the window waiting for us. She had him waving hello. Nina was so sweet to us and Bryant. I will be forever grateful to her for taking such good care of him. When she brought him in the second time she had combed his hair down and put baby cologne on him. You could tell he loves her. He reaches for her which is a good sign of attachment. He also let me rock him and was not the least bit hesitant when when I loved on him. He actually eats it up. One time he leaned in toward me for a kiss and it made my heart melt. I think this little one is going to have his Momma right where he wants her. At the mall we bought him some baby cookies that he sort of liked. They were banana and I don't think that was his favorite, nonetheless he enjoyed getting a treat.

When it was time to say bye we loved him and told him only 10 days until you break out of here and are ours forever. It was sad to leave but easier than last time knowing we will be back so soon. It took us 1 hr and 40 minutes to get back to our hotel which was 12 miles from the orphanage. Traffic here is awful. We are at the airport now waiting to fly home. Please pray for our safe travels. The weather is nasty here. The night before it snowed and was beautiful but by morning most had melted. It is snowing again today.

I can't wait to get home and see my girls. I miss them and love them so much. We had a great trip to Moscow (which we have learned to enjoy, mostly due to the great friends we have made) but now it is time to come home. I wish I could click my heels three times and be there.
